Bridgend Ukes (Bridgend Ukulele Club)
Bridgend Ukulele Club was formed in March 2017 by a group of ukulele players who wanted to meet to play for fun and entertainment and to raise money for charities by performing under the band name of Bridgend Ukes.
Although Bridgend Ukes love performing and aim for a high standard of performance, we stick to our principles of being a club that is open to anyone who wants to play ukulele, no matter what their level of experience.
We found a nice venue at the Prince of Wales pub in Coychurch, Bridgend and we meet there every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm until 9.30 pm (or a little later).
Bridgend Ukes play a wide variety of musical styles from the 50s and 60s to the present day, including songs from Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Johnny Cash, Tom Jones, The Kinks, The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, Status Quo, Stereophonics, and many others.
We have around 30 members and sometimes our club nights get a bit crowded but you are welcome to come along and check us out.
If you would like Bridgend Ukes to play at your function, please give us a call or send us an e-mail via the CONTACTS tab
